The “Udine” tells a particularly captivating story of the elements. Its striking body consists of a piece of driftwood that washed ashore already bearing characteristic charred marks. These natural fire scars lend the wood an extraordinary dark patina and a profound texture, standing in exciting contrast to the lighter, weathered parts of the wood.

The wood has been left in its primal form to preserve the authentic power of nature. A stable foundation is provided by a turned and milled wooden base, which perfectly complements the dark accents of the body with its black lacquered finish.

A simple fabric shade in a linen look crowns the design and provides a warm, diffused light that gently emphasizes the wood's structures. As with all my models, the shade can be effortlessly replaced at any time. Please note that this piece was created by hand – it does not have the sterile, perfect finish of an industrial product. Rather, the traces of fire and water are intentional character features that make the “Udine” an honest and unmistakable unique piece.
